Austin's Glen Commerce Park is a part of the IDA’s efforts to continue the development of shovel-ready lands to recruit new business that would both support the County’s existing tourism industry as well as generate sales tax revenues in addition to the property taxes and employment opportunities typical of the IDA’s past activities. Through the property’s development process, the IDA is making it a priority to look into a project in the tourism industry to help bring in more sales tax revenue.
